How packages work

A package is defined by how many sessions it includes and how it is priced. That gives three types:

Fixed-count packages run on credits: one credit is one session. A month looks like this:

Credits load when you mark the invoice as paid, not when you send it. A negative balance while an invoice awaits payment is normal and clears itself once it is paid.

Only completed sessions touch credits. The effect of each outcome:

Corrections are safe: reverting a completed session to scheduled, deleting it, or changing its no-show mark refunds or re-consumes the credit automatically. Completed sessions can't be cancelled or deleted directly. Switch them back to scheduled first.

If a month ends with unused credits (usually because you cancelled a session), nothing is lost. The next invoice stays exactly the same, and the extra credit remains available until an additional session consumes it.

Credits never expire while the package is active.

If the client attends more sessions than the package includes, the extra sessions are billed automatically on the next month's invoice as their own line, priced pro-rata: the monthly price divided by the session count. For client-priced packages that is exactly the client's per-session rate.

Paying that invoice loads 10 credits (the 8 from the package plus the 2 extras), so the debt clears and the new month starts with the full package available.

Months still awaiting payment never count as overage. Only sessions truly beyond everything already invoiced are charged.

The invoice email shows the package line, the month's planned sessions with their status, any extra-sessions line, and the total with a payment button.

The email is a snapshot of the moment it was sent; the payment page is live. It always shows the current schedule, with statuses (scheduled, completed, cancelled, no-show) updating as the month progresses.

No credits and no overage. The client pays the same fee whatever happens. Marking attended or no-show is purely informational, and the invoice lists the month's sessions the same way.

• Pause: monthly billing skips the package and the remaining balance is kept. Sessions still consume credits while paused, so a client who keeps attending runs their balance down with no invoice covering it. Pause for a break, not for a client who is still coming.
• Cancel: future sessions are released back to pay-per-session billing at the client's default price, while lessons already delivered stay settled and are never re-billed. The remaining balance is cleared, so leftover credits are forfeited and any unbilled deficit is written off. Settle it first if you want to charge for it.

• One invoice per package per month. Billing the same month twice is skipped automatically.
• Enrolling mid-month is not prorated: the full monthly amount is billed and the full credits load.
• A client can hold several packages at once; each bills separately and lists only its own sessions.
• Enrolling a client moves their upcoming standalone sessions onto the package; cancelling releases them back.
